Who knew history could be so exciting?  Barbara Walden and Lach Machay… that’s who!  But, it doesn’t have to stop with them.  Your story is church history.  Join host Carla Long as she sits down with Barb and Lach to hear about what’s happening with the Community of Christ Historic Sites, the role that the Historic Sites foundation plays in the church’s historic sites, and the ways that you too can become part of sharing our history or making new history.

What a great interview by Carla Long with commentary and insight by Lachlan MacKay and Barbara Walden.

What connects individuals and peoples? Stories. The narratives of the everyday existence of our lives link us communally, socially, generationally. Human beings are a story bearing species.

Humans tell stories, and those stories interconnect one with another. I remember the first time I gave a history presentation at Kirtland Temple. Danny L. Jorgensen and I gave our addresses from the Melchizedek Presiding Council pulpit, where Joseph and Oliver and others had spoken to the People 170 years earlier. The event and stories evolved Danny and I as friends as we connected with the past and looked forward to the future.

I hope that these online opportunities continue.
